Advisory Board of Directors

Norchem creates and delivers value through its people, starting with our Advisory Board of Directors. They review our business performance, consider new products and services, and keep our managers focused on creating value for our customers in the fight against substance abuse. The Board provides guidance on a quarterly schedule to our Management Team.

Management Team

The Management Team is comprised of scientists and business professionals with experience in science and technology companies. These leaders provide day-to-day strategic and tactical direction, quality assurance and support for our dedicated, credentialed and well trained employees.

	Dave Chambers Advisory Director Dave Chambers received his degree in Accounting in 1969 from Weber State University. He has held a number of executive level management roles over a distinguished thirty-year business career. Dave is currently President and CEO of Universal Synaptics, an innovative developer, manufacturer and distributor of electronic testing equipment.
	Jeanne Ambruster Advisory Director Jeanne Ambruster is a scientist turned marketing professional with extensive experience in business development, translation of technologies to clinical practice, visioning and strategic planning. She graduated from the Pitzer College (Claremont Colleges) in 1979 with highest honors in biology and chemistry.
	Tom Hammarstrom Advisory Director Tom Hammarstrom is a law enforcement professional with extensive experience in criminal justice compliance standards for officer training. Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University in 1979 and received his MPA from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2000.
	Thomas E. Vorpahl, MD Chairman of the Board Dr. Vorpahl was awarded his medical degree from the University of Minnesota College of Medicine. With over 25 years in medicine, Dr. Vorpahl’s positions have included Pathologist, County Chief Medical Examiner, and Laboratory Director of several laboratories. Dr. Vorpahl is board certified and has authored many publications and presentations in forensic and clinical sciences.
	William P. Gibbs Chief Executive Officer Bill Gibbs received his bachelors degree from the University of Arizona. His passion is total quality management and process improvement employing Lean methodologies. Bill has over twenty-five years experience in executive management and is the chief advocate for our clients.
	Amanda Gibbs, CPA Chief Financial Officer Amanda Gibbs received her B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University in 1998. Amanda has held CFO, Executive Vice President, Senior Accountant and Partner positions over the last dozen years, which includes a 6 year stint with KPMG, LLP. Her career began rather auspiciously in 1998 when she was awarded the Bronze Medal for her 3rd place finish on the Arizona CPA exam.
	Andrew J. Fischinger, Ph.D. MT (ASCP) Laboratory Director Dr. Fischinger received his Ph.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology and was a post-doctoral fellow in clinical chemistry & clinical pathology at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He has over twenty years experience in forensic toxicology and laboratory management. Dr. Fischinger has taught in several universities and has authored multiple scientific articles. He has also developed over 100 laboratory testing protocols for toxicology, immunology and clinical chemistry.
	Rebecca M. Gibbs, MT (ASCP) Quality Assurance Officer Rebecca M. Gibbs, MT (ASCP) received her degree from Northern Arizona University. She was certified as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) at the Tucson Medical Center. Rebecca has 20 years of experience with Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Serology and Toxicology.
	Tom Spaziani Information Technology Director Tom Spaziani has worked in the computer field for 16 years, developing and managing information systems and creating new web-based products for market. He received his BS/BA in Computer Information Systems, with an emphasis in database design, from Northern Arizona University in 2006.
